The coin is part of a series celebrating the Rebirth of Ukrainian Statehood. As described by the National Bank of Ukraine, “This coin celebrates the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Ukrainian Constitution, which is the main source of national law and one of the anchors of Ukrainian identity. This constitution is a successor to Pylyp Orlyk’s constitution – an outstanding example of Ukrainian and European legal thought, which dates back to the 18th century, and which was one of the first constitutions in the world.”

On the obverse, the matte background of the coin depicts a solved puzzle, the outlines of which consist of microtext containing quotes of some articles from the Ukrainian constitution. Ukraine’s small coat of arms is gold-plated and located at the center of the coin. Above is the legend УКРАЇНА (Ukraine); to the right of the coat of arms is the coin’s face value 10/ГРИВЕНЬ (10/hryvnias); beneath is the coin’s issue year – 2021.
