This commemorative silver dollar was issued by the United States Mint in 2018 to support breast cancer research and awareness programs. The obverse features two women in a gesture of strength and solidarity, with one raising her fist and a butterfly symbolizing hope and renewal above them. A pink ribbon, the universal symbol of breast cancer awareness, is incorporated into the design. The reverse (not shown) bears an eagle in flight. The coin honors survivors, commemorates those lost, and emphasizes national commitment to medical research, education, and support for those affected by breast cancer.
