Donald Scarinci’s passion for rare coins and medallic art spans more than 40 years.

His interest began in high school, when he was drawn to ancient Roman silver denarii ranging from Julius Caesar to Gordian III. After earning his JD in 1983, his collecting focus shifted to medieval English pennies and American colonial coins, eventually expanding to Colonial-type pieces and the first coins authorized by the Continental Congress, including Fugio coins.

As his appreciation for artistry deepened, his attention moved toward United States commemorative coins, world coins, and fine art medals. What began as a teenage fascination gradually evolved into a lifelong pursuit that blends history, design, sculpture, and cultural heritage.

A Respected Voice in the World of Medallic Art
