This commemorative gold coin was issued by the Monnaie de Paris in 2016 as part of a series honoring key figures in French history. The obverse depicts Joan of Arc mounted on horseback during the Siege of Orléans in 1428, with the inscription “RF” and the denomination of 200 Euro. The reverse features a right-facing portrait of Joan of Arc wearing a helmet, accompanied by her name and life dates, 1412–1431. The coin celebrates Joan of Arc’s role as a national heroine and symbol of French unity and resistance during the Hundred Years’ War.
